Meet the Team


  • Founder

    Apex Structural Design is led by Grigory Yashkov, a Chartered Structural Engineer (MIStructE) with over 20 years of experience delivering projects across the UK and internationally.

    Grigory began his career abroad, progressing from design engineer to head of department before co-founding his own multidisciplinary engineering consultancy of around twenty staff. There, he managed large residential and infrastructure projects from concept design through to site supervision.

    Since relocating to the UK in 2015, he has worked on a wide range of residential and commercial developments — from bespoke houses and basements to apartment buildings and office refurbishments.

    Today, Apex Structural Design provides clear, practical, and buildable design solutions for homeowners, architects, developers, and contractors. We take pride in combining technical excellence with a collaborative approach — ensuring every project is designed efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with Building Regulations and Eurocodes.

    We apply a practical, detail-focused approach to every project, using modern design tools and clear communication to ensure smooth coordination from concept to construction.

  • Structural Engineer

    Evgenii Khramkov brings a unique blend of scientific expertise and technological innovation to the field of structural engineering. With a PhD in Engineering and Technology and over a decade of experience in digitalisation, AI, and process modelling, he has transitioned from a successful research career in metallurgy and automation to applying his analytical mindset within the UK’s structural engineering sector.

    Before joining the consultancy, Evgenii led digital transformation projects in the industrial sector — including developing AI-driven optimisation systems and digital twins for production processes. Today, he applies the same forward-thinking approach to modern engineering practice, combining hands-on structural design work with the development of new digital tools and automation workflows.

    At Apex Structural Design, Evgenii is responsible for both structural design and the integration of artificial intelligence into engineering workflows — from automating calculations and document control to exploring data-driven design methods. His mission is to bridge the gap between advanced technology and practical structural design, making engineering work more efficient, accurate, and accessible.
